This document represents the primary scientific outcome of the Yemeni Researchers and Experts Conference, organized by Tawakkol Karman Foundation in Istanbul on 11–12 October 2025, with participation of distinguished Yemeni academics, researchers, and specialists from inside and outside Yemen. The conference served as an independent knowledge platform aimed at reshaping public discourse on Yemen through a scientific, methodical, and impartial approach—one that moves away from political polarization and populist narratives, placing knowledge at the center of the nation’s peace and development efforts.
This document presents the distilled recommendations and actionable ideas emerging from the conference’s seven sessions, following extensive discussions and research papers addressing key national development themes: academic education and its modern orientations; medical infrastructure and public and mental health; economy, energy, and food security; environment and climate; national identity and its transformations; and an assessment of Yemen’s political landscape and its future trajectories. The recommendations were formulated through a collaborative process led by the scientific committee in direct engagement with participating researchers and experts, resulting in a focused vision grounded in evidence, analytical rigor, and an understanding of Yemen’s complex realities and pathways for recovery.
By presenting this document to policymakers, researchers, and those engaged in Yemeni affairs, the foundation hopes it will serve as an open knowledge reference that informs public policy, enriches societal dialogue, and encourages science-based development initiatives. These recommendations mark an initial step in a long-term intellectual endeavor that the foundation, in partnership with Yemen’s research community, seeks to sustain and expand in service of Yemen’s future and the well-being of its people.
