Activities of Biban Media Forum concluded with an interactive youth festival, held under sponsorship and supervision of Tawakkol Karman Foundation as part of the Jusoor program for 2025, and implemented by Union of Yemeni Students in Türkiye. The forum followed two months of diverse activities aimed at empowering young people and content creators and strengthening professional media presence among participants from varied backgrounds.
The forum featured implementation of Diwan Biban, a training program that delivered six specialized enrichment sessions, benefiting more than 30 male and female trainees. The sessions focused on developing media skills and opening spaces for practical dialogue and exchange of experience, in line with Tawakkol Karman Foundation’s vision of supporting independent media and building youth capacity.
The forum also organized Biban media competitions, marked by a high level of competitiveness and participation from contestants of multiple nationalities, reflecting the forum’s growing visibility and expanding regional impact.
The activities concluded with a large youth festival attended by a distinguished group of journalists and media professionals. The festival included dialogue sessions, enrichment segments, a visual arts exhibition, and live musical performances, drawing an estimated audience of around 400 people in an interactive atmosphere that underscored the forum’s significance and its role in bringing together those engaged in media affairs.
Biban Media Forum is part of initiatives sponsored and supervised by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, within its ongoing efforts to support youth-led media initiatives, create platforms that enable young people to express their ideas, and build professional networks that contribute to development of media landscape and promotion of freedom and professional responsibility.
