Tawakkol Karman Foundation is set to launch the 2025 edition of its "Jusoor" program on Thursday, April 24, aimed at supporting cultural and educational projects run by Yemeni student and youth organizations abroad.
The program seeks to strengthen communication and engagement among youth by providing platforms for dialogue and discussion on contemporary issues. It also aims to reflect the foundation’s vision of building bridges between cultures and communities, spreading knowledge, and promoting human understanding.
Jusoor 2025 is designed to empower Yemeni youth participation in development, democracy, and peacebuilding, while supporting and enhancing the activities of Yemeni students studying in Türkiye. It further seeks to boost cultural and intellectual engagement among students, raise awareness about the foundation’s mission, and foster an interactive network of students who share its values and goals.
The program targets the General Union of Yemeni Students in Türkiye, along with its more than 30 local branches across Turkish cities, as well as Yemeni cultural clubs, reading groups, student forums, and the wider Yemeni community in Türkiye.
Project areas covered under Jusoor 2025 include cultural, intellectual, and educational activities, initiatives that promote rights awareness and democratic values, programs that encourage dialogue and peacebuilding, and various training and professional development courses.
In 2024, the Jusoor program supported a range of projects that reached hundreds of students from Yemen and other Arab countries studying in Turkish universities. The initiative received widespread praise from student communities and Arab diaspora groups in Türkiye.
Among the most notable initiatives supported by Jusoor 2024 was the third season of the "Idraak Short Film Festival"—the first of its kind for short films within Arab communities in Türkiye.
