Tawakkol Karman Foundation sponsors "Mark of Change" initiative in Mukalla, Hadramout
Tawakkol Karman Foundation is sponsoring the "Mark of Change" initiative in Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout governorate (eastern Yemen), as part of its "Musanada" program. This initiative aims to empower Yemeni youth, foster creativity, and strengthen their role in community development.
The initiative was selected after a rigorous screening process by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which reviewed over 600 proposals submitted for the "Musanada" program. The program provides financial and administrative support to qualifying initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation and positive community impact.
The initiative targets children with special needs and their families and is being implemented in Mukalla. Its objectives include providing advanced educational tools for children with special needs, completing the setup of classrooms at the "Makkan" center to increase capacity, and improving the motor, social, and educational skills of the children.
The "Musanada" program, which has supported numerous youth initiatives in previous years, focuses on Yemeni youth in the governorates of Taiz, Marib, Al-Mahra, Shabwa, Lahj, and the cities of Mukalla and Sayun in Hadramout. Key areas of focus include education, economic empowerment, social cohesion, and mine clearance in Yemen.
Since its inception in 2022, the "Musanada" program has funded numerous youth initiatives across the governorates of Taiz, Marib, Aden, and Hadramout. These initiatives span various fields, including education, art, the environment, and empowering individuals with special needs.
