Tawakkol Karman Foundation rehabilitated a farm in the Al-Kudum area, located in the Tuban district of Lahj governorate. The owner of the farm, Miyad, relied on it as a source of income to support his family before being diagnosed with cancer, which led to him discontinuing farming activities. Miyad was forced to sell his crops, agricultural tools, and livestock to cover the costs of treatment abroad as recommended by doctors. Haith Al-Insan team, funded by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, visited Miyad and rehabilitated his farm by providing it with solar energy equipment, water pipes, and a modern irrigation system. This enabled Miyad's family to continue earning their livelihood through farming, and allowed Miyad to continue his treatment abroad using the profits generated from the farm."
