Tawakkol Karman Foundation has implemented a project to build Al-Salam Primary and Secondary School in the village of Al-Hujar in Al-Aqrood, Taiz. The village, located in the district of Al-Masrakh, is facing difficult living conditions due to the lack of services. Additionally, the distance between the schools and the village has deprived hundreds of children of their right to education, generation after generation. Despite promises to build a school in the village, the residents were left waiting without any progress.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation team took the initiative to build a fully equipped school in the village. The local residents also helped the foundation's team to build the school. The school was built on a piece of land donated by a woman from the village, who wanted to contribute to building an educated generation of children from her village.
The project was implemented as part of Haith Al-Insan 5 program, which is a program aimed at supporting various sectors, including education. The project included the construction of the school building, as well as providing all necessary equipment and materials for the students and teachers.
Al-Salam School project is an important step towards providing education for children in remote areas, where access to schools is limited. The school will also help to improve the living conditions in the village by providing a new source of education for the community.
