Tawakkol Karman Foundation

Yesterday, June 16, 2022, the former Tunisian President, Dr. Moncef Al-Marzouki, visited Tawakkol Karman Foundation in Istanbul, Turkey, where he was briefed on the Foundation's activities and programs.

Dr. Moncef Marzouki, who is considered the first democratic president of the Republic of Tunisia after the Jasmine Revolution, toured Tawakkol Karman Foundation departments and expressed his admiration for the programs and activities implemented by the foundation, wishing success to its board of directors and its team.
During his visit, Dr. Marzouki directed a message to the Arab Spring youth in which he called them to fight for the principles of revolutions and resist to protect their future from counterrevolutions.
Al-Marzouki emphasized the need for young people to seek knowledge and work to consolidate the principles of civil and democratic state represented in good governance, accountability, justice, and freedom of expression.
Al-Marzouki said that youth are the future pillars, the main engine of change and promising hope, and the strong foundation for the advancement of societies.
