My educational journey was marked by achievement from an early age. I consistently ranked among the top students and was one of Yemen’s highest-performing high school graduates. I dreamed of continuing my education at a university that would give me the academic environment I needed to grow and develop my abilities, but despite my strong academic record, securing a scholarship proved difficult.
Receiving a scholarship from Tawakkol Karman Foundation became a major turning point in my life. I was selected as one of the outstanding students supported through the Foundation’s scholarship program. To me, the scholarship was far more than financial support for my education. It brought me closer to my ambitions, eased many of the challenges I faced, and gave me the space to focus on my studies while growing both academically and personally.
I studied Economics at Altınbaş University, where I graduated at the top of my class with a GPA of 3.87 out of 4. My undergraduate research was also accepted by TÜBİTAK, Türkiye’s leading institution for supporting scientific research and research projects.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I went on to pursue a master’s degree in Data Analytics and Management at Bahçeşehir University, graduating with a GPA of 3.92 out of 4. Over the years, I developed skills in economic analysis, data analytics and management, academic research, and report writing, as well as communication, teamwork, time management, and independent learning.
One achievement I am especially proud of was writing my master’s thesis on the sustainability of NGO projects in fragile contexts, with a particular focus on projects implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation in Yemen through the Haith Al-Insan program.
Now, having graduated in 2026, I have a much clearer vision for my academic and professional future. I hope to put the knowledge and experience I have gained into practice, continue strengthening my skills, and eventually pursue a PhD.
For me, the Tawakkol Karman Foundation scholarship was much more than educational support. It changed the course of my life, gave me the confidence and motivation to keep moving forward, and opened up possibilities I had once only imagined.
I am deeply grateful to Tawakkol Karman Foundation, Ms. Tawakkol Karman, the Foundation’s management, and everyone who supported me throughout this journey for their trust, encouragement, and kindness. My experience with the Foundation will always remain an important and inspiring part of my journey, and one whose impact I will carry with me wherever I go.
