More than 730 students from a range of nationalities have joined Tawakkol Karman Foundation’s English-language scholarship for the June 2026 summer cohort, part of its flagship Leaders for Future program.
The new enrollment reflects the foundation’s continuing efforts to help young people and children strengthen their language, communication and academic skills while making productive use of the summer break.
Students in the latest cohort have been placed in dozens of virtual classrooms, where they have begun studying in an interactive online environment. They join participants from earlier cohorts who are continuing their English studies through the scholarship, underscoring the program’s steady growth and expanding educational reach.
Scholarship for all ages and levels
The English-language scholarship is one of Tawakkol Karman Foundation’s leading educational initiatives. It is open to learners from the age of 7 and covers all proficiency levels, from beginner courses to preparation for the TOEFL and IELTS examinations.
The program follows a progressive learning path designed to meet students’ individual needs and support their academic and professional goals.
Financial support and flexible programs
The scholarship covers 70 percent of the cost of English-language courses and 100 percent of the fees for lectures and training activities offered alongside the English diploma.
The model is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that combines language instruction with personal and professional development.
Three programs for different groups
The scholarship offers three main tracks tailored to the needs of different learners:
Intensive program: Classes are held five days a week, from Monday to Friday, for three hours a day. The track is intended for students who can commit more time to learning English at a faster pace.
English for Effective Communication program: Classes are held four days a week — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday — for three hours a day. The program focuses on vocabulary, listening and speaking, while also covering grammar in levels one through four. It is designed to help participants communicate in English with greater confidence and fluency.
Children’s program: Classes are held five days a week for children between the ages of 7 and 14. The program introduces them to English in a safe, engaging and interactive learning environment.
Remote learning in interactive environment
The scholarship is delivered remotely through an interactive educational platform in partnership with English Castle Institute.
Students can choose from morning, daytime and evening schedules. The program also includes supporting lectures and activities aimed at broadening their knowledge and developing additional skills, enriching the overall learning experience.
Continuing efforts to empower youth
The initiative is part of a broader series of educational and professional development programs implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation to expand access to learning, build capacity and prepare a new generation to compete in the labor market and contribute to positive change at both local and international levels.
Leaders for Future is among the foundation’s most prominent education and skills-development programs. To date, it has reached more than 12,500 young men and women from different countries through scholarships and educational courses designed to strengthen their language, academic and professional skills and open new pathways for their education and future careers.
