In February 2025, Tawakkol Karman Foundation hosted two lectures aimed at educating over 10,000 students enrolled in its English Language Scholarship Program. These events were part of the foundation’s "Leaders for Future" initiative, which seeks to empower youth with the knowledge and skills needed to drive positive change.
The first lecture, titled "Youth and Their Role in Peacebuilding Efforts," was delivered by media expert and trainer Nashwan Al-Samiri. The session explored the vital role young people can play in fostering peace and the practical steps they can take to contribute to peacebuilding efforts.
The second lecture, "Democracy and the Role of Youth in Strengthening and Achieving It," was presented by Imad Daimi, Secretary-General of the Arab Council and a former Tunisian presidential candidate. This session featured an interactive discussion on how youth can actively shape a more democratic future.
These lectures reflect Tawakkol Karman Foundation’s ongoing commitment to educating young people on the significance of democracy and peacebuilding, encouraging them to channel their energy toward positive societal change.
