Tawakkol Karman Foundation
On the verge of studying abroad: Nizar Abdullah shares how the Leaders for Future program changed his life
First, I would like to say that being part of this program is a wonderful opportunity, as I had been struggling with the inability to attend in-person classes regularly due to their high costs. The variety of study periods in the program and the option to attend online are truly remarkable.
I believe that I will soon be able to master language skills professionally, which will significantly contribute to my personal and professional growth. It will also open up opportunities for international prospects such as pursuing graduate studies or joining international training programs, among others.
Working in multinational environments is very challenging, as language diversity can hinder communication. However, since English is the most widely spoken and circulated language, the program has enabled me to adapt and communicate, albeit at an intermediate level, with people from different nationalities in the workplace and international organizations. With time, the difficulties continue to lessen.
I expect to experience a qualitative shift in the coming year. I am planning to travel to a European country to continue my graduate studies after obtaining my TOEFL or IELTS certification. Not having either of them had been the only obstacle preventing me from traveling and applying for high-level scholarships.
I encourage all young people to join such outstanding programs, and I hope that Tawakkol Karman Foundation's scholarship expands to include modern diplomas such as digital marketing and graphic design, as many young people lack these skills despite their high demand in the job market.
It is wonderful to find such diverse and completely free programs accompanying the course to enhance life skills. I also hope there will be opportunities for young people to attend international conferences, which would boost cultural awareness and provide opportunities to practice the language. This would contribute to the strategic transformation of the Arab world and help foster progress in both word and action.
