Fatima Al-Ahdal has had dwarfism since childhood and was forced to flee with her family from Hodeidah to Marib due to the war. Due to the harassment she faced because of her disability, she was unable to go to school or work outside the house.Fatima dreamed of a project that would allow her to work from home and support herself and her family.
To support Fatima, the Tawakkol Karman Foundation’s Haith Al-Insan team built her a seamstress shop equipped with all the necessary tools and accessories. With this shop, Fatima is able to gain confidence in her abilities as an economic contributor and Yemeni woman.
