The Yemeni Students Union in Istanbul has concluded the short film production training program conducted by Al Jazeera Media Institute under "Al Jazeera Ambassadors" initiative, in collaboration with the Edraak Short Film Festival, which is sponsored by Tawakkol Karman Foundation as part of the Jusoor 2024 program.
Through sponsoring and supporting youth projects and initiatives, Tawakkol Karman Foundation aims to empower young people, equipping them with skills and developing their abilities so they can become influential leaders in their communities.
The training program targeted over 23 young men and women from five Arab countries: Yemen, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, and Jordan.
Spanning more than 40 hours, the program included five specialized training courses covering creative writing, filming, short and documentary film production, short film directing, and a discussion session on scriptwriting.
The training program provided an essential opportunity for participants to enhance their skills and gain practical and professional tools for filmmaking, making them part of a new generation contributing to the development of the Arab film scene.
