Tawakkol Karman Foundation has bestowed a unique honor upon a young man with special needs from the Al Rawdah district in Shabwa Governorate, eastern Yemen. Yasser Bahajj, who has been deaf since childhood, creates artistic images on shop fronts and walls, learning to draw by watching cartoons on TV.
The foundation rented a shop for Yasser and refurbished it for work, providing him with all the colors chosen by customers for their stores, drawing pens, painting tools, and decorative items, all related to the art that Yasser has chosen as a way of life and expression.
Yasser expressed his happiness with the support he received from Tawakkol Karman Foundation, stating that he now has a modernly equipped store and customers come to him continuously.
This comes within the framework of the annual Haith Al-Insan program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which includes 30 humanitarian development projects in the key areas of education, health, and economic empowerment, aimed at providing support and assistance to the most affected populations by the war in various Yemeni governorates.
