In Al Ghaydah Directorate, Al Mahrah Governorate, Yemen, Hanadi and her three children reside in a modest home, where she shoulders the responsibilities of life and daily commitments after losing her husband in a work accident at a fish packaging factory. Following this tragedy, she found herself facing tough circumstances, striving to secure a decent life for her children. However, she couldn't wait for others' help, knowing that many families in the area were encountering similar challenges. In her endeavor to overcome these challenges, her eldest son Ahmed stood by her side, supporting and assisting her at every step. While Hanadi worked diligently inside the house preparing meals, which Ahmed sold outside, he returned home exhausted late in the day, unable to review his lessons, which his mother hoped he would excel in. In this context, Tawakkol Karman Foundation managed to fulfill Hanadi's wish by establishing a bakery project near her home, after selecting a suitable location and informing her about it. Adjacent to her family's residence, the initial step of the project was taken, involving the renovation of the shop and the selection of appropriate electrical appliances for baking. Furthermore, a space was designated for sitting and dining in the same location, which will alleviate Ahmed's burden and enable him to study his lessons better, fulfilling his mother Hanadi's wish. It is worth noting that this project is part of Haith Al-Insan program's sixth season, funded by Tawakkol Karman Foundation with the aim of driving development forward.
