Tawakkol Karman Foundation has initiated funding for a factory and training center project in the heart of the central reformatory prison in Taiz Governorate, southwest Yemen, as an innovative idea to reshape the future of the inmates.
The project enables prisoners to learn new skills and develop themselves, as the foundation, with the assistance of a team of experts, has established three workshops for tailoring, knitting, and mobile phone maintenance, allowing prisoners to learn, work, and produce.
The project will enable prisoners to acquire new skills and feel hopeful and confident in their ability to change their lives.
This initiative is part of the annual Haith Al-Insan program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which includes 30 humanitarian projects in key development areas such as education, health, and economic empowerment. The program aims to provide support and assistance to the populations most affected by the war in various Yemeni governorates.
