Tawakkol Karman Foundation hands over keys to home and project to woman in Hadramout
Tawakkol Karman Foundation has transformed the life of a woman in the Ghayl Bawazeer district of Hadramout Governorate (Eastern Yemen) after years of enduring difficult living conditions. The locals were used to seeing Sabah Mahfouz's incomplete home as it was, deemed sufficient for her to live in with her two children and sick sister. She used to sell products daily in front of a school to students.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation completed the construction of Sabah Mahfouz's home, providing her with new electronic appliances, and built a store to sell food and consumer goods, enabling her to earn a living and feel a sense of security and stability. Overwhelmed with happiness, Sabah expressed her deep gratitude to Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which she said supported her when everyone else abandoned her.
This comes within the framework of the annual Haith Al-Insan program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which includes 30 humanitarian projects in key development areas such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, aimed at providing support and assistance to the populations most affected by the war in various Yemeni governorates.
