Tawakkol Karman Foundation rehabilitates abandoned health unit in Al Mahrah
Tawakkol Karman Foundation rehabilitated and operated a health unit in the "Khetr" area of Seiyhut district, located in Al Mahrah Governorate (eastern Yemen) and inhabited by three thousand people. The residents of "Khetr" had long depended on a single woman who treated them with limited resources, despite the presence of a health unit in their area that was abandoned and not fulfilling its intended role.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation brought life back to the facilities of the health unit in the area, consisting of 4 rooms and a waiting hall, which were semi-abandoned. The Secretary-General of the Local Council of Seiyhut District in Al Mahrah expressed his happiness at the opening of the health unit in the "Khetr" area, after it had been improved, renovated, and rehabilitated by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, praising the efforts of the foundation in this project and in previous humanitarian projects.
This comes within the framework of the annual "Haith Al-Insan" program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which includes 30 humanitarian and developmental projects in key areas of development: education, health, and economic empowerment, aiming to provide support and assistance to the most affected populations by the war in various Yemeni governorates.
