Tawakkol Karman Foundation changes life of ice cream seller affected by injury since childhood
Tawakkol Karman Foundation has changed the life of an ice cream seller from the temporary capital Aden (southern Yemen) who has been suffering from an injury since childhood, affecting his mobility, enabling him to secure a source of income for himself and his dependents.
The young man, Nabil Hameed Radman, who resides in Al-Mualla city in Aden, chose to work in selling ice cream on a bicycle for 16 years due to the lack of job opportunities, caused by the injury he has been suffering from since childhood in his spine, requiring surgery abroad. However, his financial situation does not allow him to do so.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation funded a suitable project for Nabil by establishing a mobile store for selling groceries, relieving him from daily fatigue, and providing him and his dependents with a comfortable source of income.
Upon receiving his project, Nabil said: "I never dreamed of getting this project, and when I saw it, it felt like I was born again, this wasn't even in my imagination. I thank Tawakkol Karman Foundation for helping me and cooperating with me."
This initiative comes within the framework of the annual Haith Al-Insan program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which includes 30 humanitarian and developmental projects in key areas of development: education, health, and economic empowerment. Its aim is to provide support and assistance to the most affected populations by the war in various Yemeni governorates.
