TKF funds store for displaced woman in Marib after years of hardship
Tawakkol Karman Foundation has realized the aspirations of a displaced woman who fled from Hudaydah to Marib in pursuit of a fresh start, following years of enduring hardship and destitution. Fatima, a mother of eight children, five of whom are hearing impaired, found refuge in Al-Sharikah neighborhood on the outskirts of Marib city, amidst challenging circumstances. On a daily basis, Fatima accompanies her five children to "Arsh Belqees" School for the hearing impaired, the sole institution of its kind in Marib city, made possible through funding from Tawakkol Karman Foundation. In a bid to provide a stable source of income for Fatima's family and alleviate their hardships, Tawakkol Karman Foundation has established a comprehensive store near her children's school. This initiative falls under the umbrella of the annual "Haith Al-Insan" program by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, comprising 30 humanitarian and developmental projects focusing on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. The program aims to extend support and aid to the populations most severely affected by the ongoing conflict across various Yemeni governorates.
