The Peaceful Revolution Youth Council organized a special celebration in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday, September 24, 2023, marking the 61st anniversary of the enduring September 26th revolution, under the theme "From Subjugation to Citizenship."
The event was attended by the Nobel Peace Prize laureate activist, Tawakkol Karman, as well as politicians, journalists, and intellectuals. The Peaceful Revolution Youth Council issued a statement during the event, and a medley of national songs produced by "Belqees TV" channel was presented in honor of the occasion.
On the sidelines of the celebration, a discussion panel titled "Literature and Poetry of the September 26th Revolution in Yemen" was held, moderated by the Syrian poet and journalist Yaser Al-Atrash. The panel featured the writer and journalist Jamal An'am and the researcher Zaid Jaber.
To conclude the celebration, four songs sung originally by Ayoub Taresh were performed by artists Ruba Nasr and Mohammed Basrak.
