On Tuesday, August 15th, 2023, Tawakkol Karman Foundation concluded the third edition of the Democracy and Peacebuilding diploma. The program consisted of three online training sessions.
The diploma targeted students accepted into the fifth batch and the partial scholarship of “Leaders for Future”program, funded by Tawakkol Karman Foundation.
More than 1000 students participated in each session, where three main topics were covered: the principles and system of democracy, negotiation skills and community peacebuilding, and an introduction to human rights. Specialized trainers from different nationalities delivered these sessions.
It's worth noting that the Democracy and Peacebuilding diploma, conducted through Zoom application, is one of the diplomas provided within “Leaders for Future” program. This program also includes English lessons and career skills training.
