Tawakkol Karman Foundation restores school in Saber Al-Mawadim, Taiz
Raghda adds that all the students care about when they enter the school is that it does not fall on them while they are inside the classrooms, where they live in a state of fear because of its dilapidated and collapsing roof.
The school principal, Ahmed Abdel-Wahhab, says that Al-Tayeb School is the oldest school in the region, as it was built by the people in the sixties of the last century, and it fell many times, but the locals were restoring the building so that children would not be deprived of studying.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation implemented a project to restore the school building and removed the depleting roof, build a new, safer one, provide chairs, and install windows and doors. For the school to accommodate more students, the Foundation expanded it and built two classrooms with all their equipment, in addition to painting and decorating the school with pictures, and building a wall.
This project is part of Tawakkol Karman Foundation projects through Haith Al-Insan program, season 3, which is presented by Belqees channel in Ramadan.
