TKF provides income-generating project for disabled family head in Hadramout
Tawakkol Karman Foundation provided an income-generating project and a means of transportation for a citizen who is unable to work due to a disability in his leg, in Sah district in Hadramout governorate.
Fouad Mohamed says that he had a high fever, after which he was taken to the hospital, after which he learned that he had lost part of his ability to move.
After two years, Fouad returned from his treatment trips to his village, determined not to surrender to his disability, and tried to look for work in many places, to settle down in selling vegetables on the streets.
Fouad suffers from the hardship of moving between his house and the market where he works, and he relies on his crutches, which he described as his other half.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation intervened to rescue Fouad from the situation in which he lives, and implemented, through “Haith Al-Insan” program, which was shown by Belqees channel during Ramadan, and prepared a store for selling vegetables and fruits and filled it with goods, in addition to providing an auto-rikshaw for use as a means of transportation, as well as to transport vegetables and fruits from the market to the store.
The project of providing a store and auto-rikshaw for Fuad is part of Tawakkol Karman Foundation development program "Haith Al-Insan”, which is shown by Belqees channel during the month of Ramadan.
