Family Killed by Houthi Mine (Al-Jouf, Yemen)
Tawakkol Karman Foundation funded a disabled man in the desert of Al-Jouf, Yemen to start a livestock business. A few months after the project began, the man and his family were killed by a Houthi mine.
Before completing “Haith Al-Insan” program, broadcasted by Belqees channel during the month of Ramadan, affiliated with Tawakkol Karman Foundation, Houthis killed three members of the family: the father and his two eldest children. Three more children were injured and put in intensive care.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation funded him to start a project that would help him provide a small income for his family, and it included granting him 20 livestock, fodder, and a tent for them next to their tent in the Al-Jouf desert.
The head of the family says: We are happy with the sheep and the cattle are a source of livelihood for us. We do not have another source of income. We are happy with them.
Houthi hijacked the family's joy and tore three of its children to shreds: the father and his two children, whose ages are 13-15 years, when they hit a mine in Al-Jouf desert, while they were searching for firewood on board an old, dilapidated car.

And three children were injured when a mine exploded on the civilian road. “The Jews wouldn’t do what Houthis do”, confirms one of those present after the explosion.
A witness said: The handicapped father and his two eldest sons were killed and three remained in intensive care.
