The Tawakkol Karman Foundation is excited to announce that we have built Al-Salam Primary and Secondary School in the village of Al-Hujar in Al-Aqrood, Taiz. The village, located in the district of Al-Masrakh, is facing difficult living conditions due to the lack of basic living services. Including education. Additionally, the distance between the schools and the village has deprived hundreds of children of their right to education. Despite promises to build a school in the village, the residents were left waiting without any progress.
The Tawakkol Karman Foundation team took the initiative to build a fully equipped school in the village. With the support of local residents, the school was built on a piece of land donated by a woman from the village, who wanted to contribute to building an educated generation of children from her village.
The project was implemented as part of Haith Al-Insan 5 program, a program aimed at supporting various sectors, including education. The project included the construction of the school building, as well as providing all necessary equipment and materials for the students and teachers.Al-Salam School project is an important step towards providing education for children in remote areas, where access to schools is limited.
