Tami Saleh - a mother of three children - lives in a poor neighborhood in Tarem city, in harsh conditions after losing her breadwinner and their source of livelihood. Tami turned her simple house into a family factory with limited resources to produce and sell various types of cakes, and pastries.
Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding her, Tammy works to provide for her family's living requirements and needs. She says: We take a lot of time and effort to prepare cakes and pastries, and we face difficulties in our work, including when the oven is in another place and we have to move from one house to another.
Tammy continued, "My dream is to develop my business and have my own business to distribute our products in many places."
Tawakkol Karman Foundation, through "Haith Al-Insan” program, visited Tami Saleh at her house, and provided her with a rented shop, renovate it, and provide modern equipment and machinery, in addition to purchasing all the supplies and materials for the business.
Tami’s and her family’s dreams come true, and a new phase of struggle began.
Tammy said to Haith Al-Insan program that "her feeling now is indescribable," and what she wished and dreamed of has been achieved.
The cake and pastry business is part of the activities executed by Tawakkol Karman Foundation development program "Haith Al-Insan”, shown on Belqees channel during Ramadan.
