Tawakkol Karman Foundation inaugurates Belqees School for the Deaf in Taiz
As part of its Haith Al-Insan program's sixth season, Tawakkol Karman Foundation inaugurated Belqees School for educating the Deaf within "Belqees Educational Complex," funded by the foundation as the first qualitative project for the Deaf community in Taiz Governorate.
The school is the first university school for the Deaf from the primary level to the secondary level, equipped with all necessary facilities, scientific laboratories, computer labs, library, and scientific books.
The implementation of the school project, located in Al-Mazaffar District in Taiz Governorate, comes in response to numerous appeals from the families of the Deaf community, granting them their educational rights that suit their needs.
It is worth mentioning that education is one of the key sectors that Tawakkol Karman Foundation pays extensive attention to, considering it as a cornerstone for the development and renaissance of nations and combating ignorance.
This comes within the framework of the annual Haith Al-Insan program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which includes 30 humanitarian and developmental projects in the key development areas: education, health, and economic empowerment, aiming to provide support and assistance to the most affected populations by the war in various Yemeni governorates.
