Tawakkol Karman to speak at Vatican Fraternity event
At a global conference on human fraternity, organized by the Fratelli Tutti Foundation and hosted at the Vatican, the human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tawakkol Karman, presented a formal speech.
During her speech at the world meeting on human fraternity at the Vatican, Tawakkol Karman urged the pursuit of comprehensive societies that provide equal opportunities for success and prosperity to everyone. She emphasized that fostering brotherhood is essential to building bridges of understanding and promoting peaceful conflict resolution through dialogue.
By stressing the importance of acting responsibly and with caution, Karman called for the guarantee of resource sustainability for generations to come. Furthermore, she urged individuals to stand in solidarity with those advocating for freedom, justice, and the rule of law.
She also highlighted the critical need to support human rights defenders and promote inclusivity, diversity, and mutual understanding. By amplifying their voices and confronting challenges, she emphasized that we can contribute to the creation of a world where brotherhood and solidarity thrive.
