The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman has confirmed that women are making a bold change and leading a resistance against injustice everywhere in the world.
In a side-event held today in Mönchengladbach on the sidelines of Nobel Women’s Initiative conference titled "Global Feminist Resistance: Evolution and Revolution, Adapting to Survive Thrive”, Karman said: wherever we go in the world, we would find women leading a resistance against injustice.
"I believe in our ability, I believe in our courage, and this is only the beginning for us as women,” Karman added.
Mrs. Karman explained that women's participation in the Arab Spring revolutions was a difficult challenge, emphasizing that the success of the revolution and the overthrow of the dictator were done thanks to the steadfastness of women.
