3000 applicants from 13 countries have been accepted into the fifth batch of “Leaders for Future” program
On January 19, 2023, Tawakkol Karman Foundation finished selecting candidates for the fifth batch of “Leaders for Future” Scholarship, which aims to qualify empowered and open-minded youth who believe in dialogue and seek to promote the values of coexistence and peace.
Out of 21,234, the foundation team chose 3,000 applicants from Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Somalia, and Türkiye.
The scholarship, funded by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, includes three main tracks: The first track is teaching English until obtaining TOEFL or IELTS certificate, The second track; Career skills training courses that help the program’s beneficiaries master self-development and administrative tools that allow them to compete in the job market and develop their careers.
The third track includes courses on democracy and peacebuilding, which provides training, lectures, and workshops to promote the values of democracy and peacebuilding among the program's beneficiaries.
The program is held on-campus for those in Istanbul and online for those outside Istanbul, at a rate of 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
It is important to mention that the program aims to qualify young people to help them meet the admission requirements of top universities and obtain job opportunities.
