TKF holds a symposium on “Racism in a Pluralistic World”
On Thursday, March 24th, Tawakkol Karman Foundation (TKF) held a symposium entitled “Racism in a Pluralistic World” as the first event of Jusoor Program for this year.
Three main topics were discussed in the symposium: the first was about the concept, historical roots, and samples. The second topic was about the psychological and social analysis of racism. The third one included the forms of contemporary racism and its manifestations on social media.
Dr. Abdullah Al-qaisi, author and researcher in Islamic thought and philosophy, addressed the first topic. The second topic was presented by Dr. Mustafa Hijazi, professor of psychology and an author, and the third one was addressed by Dr. Abdullah Altamemi, lecturer and expert in media and communication.
The symposium, attended by a number of writers and intellectuals, concluded with Q&As on the three topics.
It is worth mentioning that the working papers presented in the seminar will be published and issued in a booklet by TKF.
