TKF to Build 700 million Yemeni Riyal Belqees educational complex in Taiz
Tawakkol Karman Foundation has revealed plans to construct Belqees Educational Complex in Al-Muzaffar district of Taiz at a total cost of 700 million Yemeni Rials, equivalent to 446 thousand US dollars. This announcement coincides with the International Day of Education, observed annually on January 24.
The foundation, known for its commitment to improving education, stated that the complex will include both primary and secondary schools, responding to the requests of residents in the Al-Muzaffar district. The construction process will commence after the completion of Belqees School for the hearing and speech impaired.
In 2023, the foundation successfully executed various prominent projects, such as the construction of Al-Salam Primary-Secondary School in Al-Aqroudh, Taiz, and Nashwan Al-Himyari Primary School in Marib. Noteworthy initiatives also included the establishment of the Saadia Literacy and Adult Education Center in Shabwa, the rehabilitation of "Hun" initiative space for teaching sign language in Aden, the construction of Belqees Primary School in Shabwa, and the rehabilitation of Al-Amal Center for training and rehabilitating individuals with special needs in Marib.
Tawakkol Karman Foundation remains dedicated to enhancing education by implementing diverse projects, with a focus on building and rehabilitating schools and providing scholarships to ensure the continuity of the education process, especially in regions affected by wars and crises.
