TKF provides vehicle to deliver oxygen cylinders to Al-Jumhuri Hospital in Taiz
The hopes of a peaceful life are diminishing in Taiz city west of Yemen as it is divided militarily between the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi militia. This division turned the lives of its residents into great suffering due to the siege and continuous fighting. All caused the collapse of the health and service systems.
Medical facilities in the city are subject to frequent attacks that cause severe damage to their facilities and has disrupted their services. Moreover, doctors and facility workers are subject to killing, kidnapping, enforced disappearance, and intimidation by armed groups. And with the arrival of Covid-19, the city calls for urgent interventions to alleviate people’s suffering.
Amongst TKF humanitarian projects in Taiz, TKF responded to Al-Jumhuri Hospital's call to provide it with a car that can transport oxygen cylinders to the hospital so that patients do not have to wait for days to get them.
This project is part of health projects implemented by the TKF in Taiz city, the last of which provided beds for care rooms and the isolation center in Al-Jumhuri Hospital. In addition to providing cash assistance to patients with kidney failure in the hospital.
On their part, the Al-Jumhuri Hospital director, staff, and patients showed tremendous appreciation and sincere gratitude to the TKF and those in charge of it for their quick response to the need of the hospital that will alleviate the suffering of patients, saving their lives.
