Education is another prime sector that pays the war bills, which has been going on in Yemen for years. Since the outbreak of the conflict in early 2015, 2,000 schools have become unqualified. Schools were either damaged by aerial and ground bombardments or used as concentration points by armed groups. Some schools were homes to the displaced families. Due to this disruption, educational facilities reported about two million Yemenis out of school.

And between the continuous bombing of educational facilities, teachers’ salaries are cut off, and curriculums are changed to serve certain political ideologies that spread incitement and hate speech. The justifications of parties to the conflict for the ongoing war and their intervention in the educational process only threaten and destroy the future of Yemeni students and drop them into the mire of ignorance.

Taiz High School, the oldest and largest Yemeni school in the city of Taiz, was destroyed following the war in the city. The school management appealed to furnish the school. TKF responded to the call and provided all seats for the 1000 students of Taiz High School. A double school seat for 3000 students at a total cost of 37 million Yemeni riyal.
