Tawakkol Karman Foundation organized an interactive online lecture on Thursday, September 24, 2026, titled “The Future of Jobs in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Skills That Create Tomorrow’s Opportunities.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Fadi Amroush, a consultant in digital transformation and behavioral economics, with hundreds of participants in attendance.
The lecture was held as part of the educational and development activities implemented under the “Leaders for Future” program, with the aim of enhancing young people’s knowledge and skills and helping them keep pace with the rapid transformations taking place in the labor market amid the growing use of artificial intelligence technologies.
During the lecture, Dr. Fadi Amroush discussed some of the most significant changes AI is bringing to the nature of jobs and work environments, as well as the sectors and professions experiencing rapid growth or transformation. He explained that the impact of emerging technologies extends beyond the creation of new jobs and the disappearance of others, reshaping tasks and roles across a wide range of professions.
The lecture also highlighted a range of technical and digital skills that are becoming increasingly important in the labor market, alongside essential human skills that remain difficult to replace, particularly critical thinking, creativity, communication, decision-making, and adaptability.
Dr. Amroush also addressed the concept of a “skill set” and the importance of combining expertise in one’s core field with the ability to use AI tools and work with data. Such a combination can strengthen the ability of students and professionals to develop their career paths and take advantage of the opportunities created by digital transformation.
He further offered practical insights and guidance on how students and employees can prepare for the demands of the labor market in the coming years, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and skills development rather than relying solely on traditional knowledge and areas of specialization.
The lecture saw broad engagement from participants, with discussions and questions addressing the future of various professions and fields of study, as well as the skills that should be prioritized to keep pace with developments related to artificial intelligence.
The lecture is part of a series of activities and lectures organized by Tawakkol Karman Foundation to support education, develop young people’s knowledge and professional skills, and expand their access to the knowledge and tools needed to prepare for the evolving demands of education, employment, and the future.
