Education is another prime sector that pays the war bills, which has been going on in Yemen for years. Since the outbreak of the conflict in early 2015, 2,000 schools have become unqualified. Schools were either damaged by aerial and ground bombardments or used as concentration points by armed groups. Some schools were homes to the displaced families. Due to this disruption, educational facilities reported about two million Yemenis out of school.
The selection process for the second phase of Scholarships for the intensive English Language program under the Leaders for the Future is finalized. TKF has sent acceptance letters to the students granted the scholarship to enroll for the intensive English Language diploma.
Al-Thawra School is located in Al-Mahlia district, to the north of the city of Marib. It contains three old and dilapidated classrooms, and other classrooms are huts made of trees, with approximately (229) male and female students, from grade one to grade nine. Students come from 15 neighboring villages.
