On July 01, Tawakkol Karman Foundation launched " Its Origin is Yemeni " program, which aims to document the Yemeni song, coinciding with the Yemeni Song Day, which falls on the first of July.
The program, which is the first of its kind, is broadcasted through the Foundation's social media accounts, and seeks to prove the rights of the Yemeni song, show its heritage, and to reveal the Yemeni songs sung by others without considering property rights.

Tawakkol Karman Foundation sends a message to the singers around the world sharing the pleasure of the spread of Yemeni art around the world and is proud of those who sing it, clarifying that the origin of this beautiful art is Yemen.
It is a noteworthy that this new program “Its Origin is Yemeni” comes within the Foundation’s activities within the framework of “Art for Peace” and aims to contribute to the global acknowledgement of the Yemeni artistic heritage and to emphasize that art is one of the tools of development and the most important message of peace.
