Tawakkol Karman Foundation and the Social Cohesion in Central African Republic
Within the social cohesion and peacebuilding program implemented by Tawakkol Karman Foundation in partnership with the Food
and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Central African Republic, a training course in conflict resolution and peacebuilding was held from 24th to 26th of May 2022 for a group of community activists in Central African Republic, who then will train more than 100 community volunteers in conflict resolution.
The course trainer and Executive Director of Tawakkol Karman Foundation, Mrs. Misk Al-Junaid, explained that this training comes within an integrated context aiming to build social cohesion in a country divided by civil war for a long period of time. In order to recover and reach a state of stability and lasting peace, the activities of this program are implemented in parallel with the needs of the local community and benefit from the experiences of countries that have passed the conflict stage in the continent of Africa.
