The 2nd Season of Edrak Short Film Festival and Competition activities has conducted this November which supported by the Tawakkol Karman Foundation within the framework of supporting students to develop their skills to keep up with the changes in the field of media and cinema, started in early November.

The festival aims to support Yemeni students, particularly Media students and content producers across Turkey. This festival is organized by the Media and Cinema Unit of the Yemeni Students Union in Istanbul.
Edrak Festival aims to give content producers the opportunity to make films, and to present these films in a movie theater and to critics who are specialists in the field, so it will be the first steps of the film festival that will enable the whole world to recognize the Yemeni identity.
The idea of the project comes to sustain efforts to show talents of Yemeni male and female students. The program will consist of two stages. The first stage is to train and qualifying the student within the scope of the media course, then the second stage consists of a competition and a film festival.
It is noteworthy that Tawakkol Karman Foundation supports the second season of Edrak Festival after It supported the first season in 2019, which is in the framework of supporting students and developing their skills to keep up with changes in the field of media and cinema.
