Tawakkol Karman Foundation has established a tailoring and embroidery workshop in Al-Mahra Governorate with the aim of providing job opportunities for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees.

The project was implemented to provide an opportunity for a displaced person named Abdulmawla, who was forced to flee his hometown of Al-Hodeidah due to the ongoing conflict in Yemen.

Abdulmawla had been moving between five Yemeni governorates in search of stability and work, but he was unable to secure a steady source of income. After settling in Al-Mahra Governorate, he continued to struggle and work in various fields, but his income was insufficient to meet his family's basic needs.
Having previously worked as a tailor, Abdulmawla dreamed of starting his own project in this field. Thanks to the efforts of the team from "Haith Al-Insan" program, sponsored by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, the project was finally realized.

The foundation's tailoring workshop provides a promising opportunity for Abdulmawla and other IDPs and refugees in Al-Mahra Governorate to earn a decent living and contribute to the local economy. The workshop will help train and employ individuals with tailoring and embroidery skills, enabling them to acquire new knowledge and improve their economic prospects.

The establishment of this workshop is a commendable initiative by Tawakkol Karman Foundation, which has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of those affected by the ongoing conflict in Yemen. By supporting small businesses and providing job opportunities, the foundation is helping to create a more sustainable future for the people of Yemen.
